Helpful Hints

Bring a CV and a smile, have an open mind, dress nicely to give a good impression, come well groomed and gather a lot of information.  Before attending the expo, review your elevator speech - be concise about your accomplishments, attributes, competencies and other positive information an employer should know about you.  Prepare and ask important questions, answer thoughtfully and gain feedback.  Prepare your follow-up with the interviewer by getting their name and number and ask them what happens now?  Don't be afraid to ask the interviewer questions such as a brief description of the company's work environment, challenges and opportunities the position offers, type of qualifications and experience they are looking for in a candidate. Confirm your interest in the position, shake their hand and thank them for their time.
